I am excited to be the Vice Principal at Joseph Welsh Elementary School this school year! I began my career with Red Deer Public Schools in 2005 and have since worked with kindergarten to grade 8 students as a classroom teacher and Learning Assistance Teacher. I have been a part of the G.W. Smith Elementary, Annie L. Gaetz Elementary and Westpark Middle School communities. 

I enjoy spending time and being active with my 2 amazing children, Falan and Max, our pets, family and friends.

I am looking forward to working with and getting to know all of the students, families and staff in this great community!

I am very honoured to be the Principal at Joseph Welsh Elementary School!  I began my career with Red Deer Public Schools in 2000, as a teacher at Eastview Middle School.  I have since been a teacher and then Vice-Principal at Hunting Hills High School, Principal at Annie L. Gaetz Elementary School, and Principal at Eastview Middle School.

I was born in British Columbia and lived throughout the province.  I moved to Red Deer in 1995 to attend Red Deer College and pursue my Education degree, while playing hockey for the Red Deer College Kings.  My wife, Lisa, also works with Red Deer Public Schools.  We have two sons, Lynden and Tanner.  Our family enjoys movie nights, camping, and spending lots of time outside hiking, boating, and traveling.  

I hope to support every child in finding success.  I look forward to this coming school year and getting to know our students and their families.
